Teaching Kids Bands in Folsom

At JJ Music Lessons, we love teaching kids how to play together in bands!! Not only do they learn how to learn how to play their instrument better, but they they learn how to play music together.

Here is a list of what we go over in Kids Band- How it Works- The kids and I pick out a set list (a number of songs) and we practice them together. There is a PA system that we use and each of the kids learn how to play the instruments being used. This is a great opportunity for kids to learn how to play together in the context of a band! They will also learn how to play some of the instruments beside the one or two they already know how to play. These practices are 1 1/2 hours each and include instructions as far as how being in a working band works. 
They Learn- 1. How to lead a rehearsal2. How to play their instruments or to sing to serve the song3. How to sing harmonies4. How to use a PA and get good sound5. Dynamics 6. How to deal with drama in a musical setting7. And......many more things. 
Instruments/ Vocals- Your child does not have to be an expert to be in the band. We play using bass, drums, vocals, guitar, keyboards, and many other instruments. 
There would be a performance at the end of it in which all families and friends are invited!
